About Cabi-Soft - Talisman review Amiga User International March 1993
Text Version: This excellent adventure game took more than seven months to create and contains a mixture of both text and graphics. The screen is split into 5 areas. The top left of the screen shows you a picture of your present location. This is in black and white but of good quality. Any other creatures that are with you are also displayed with the image. To the right of this is the control area. Here there are ten icons for you to play with. They are describe, examine, fight, use/get, operate, drink, status, talk, load and save. These ten icons are the only way you can control the adventure, you do not have the option to type anything more in. Just below the icons you find the inventory and score windows. Finally beneath everything else there is the text description window. The adventure requires 2 megs to run which seems quite a lot, but if it had been any less the graphics would have had to be loaded in at every location and would have made the adventure far too slow to enjoy. As it is, The Talisman is a highly enjoyable fantasy adventure and is very easy to play. |
